Objectives
In this topic, we see animation as an exercise, as the tool that will help us create animated pieces within a free software or application, or even a simple montage application in which the frame rate can be controlled.
The main objectives of this topic are described in the following video:
Lesson 1- Animation principlesClick to collapse
The following table shows all the materials preprared for the teacher to learn (T2L) and for the teacher to take them to the classroom (T2T,S2P) for Lesson 1 of Topic 3. Animation as a tool. The description of the different types of materials (T2L, T2T, S2P) can be found here. For each material, teachers can find in this table: its description , the student workload and where the student works. Additionally, recommendations about what to do in the classroom are included (remember that one lesson corresponds to one class of the teacher with her/his students). Follow the links in the table to discover what O-City has prepared for you:

(lesson content in pdf, video, video content in pdf). | Understand where the principles come from and their importance. | 30' | At home (previous to the lesson -flip-teaching) or in the classroom
T2T | Activity T3:L1.1 Carry out a software exercise on acceleration and deceleration, anticipation and stretching and shrinking. (video, video content in pdf, activity factsheet in pdf) | Build a simple animation that feels life thanks to the simplest principles. | 2h | At home/classroom.
Activity T3.L1.2 Complement the previous exercise with an appendix added to the object created thus using the principles of complementary and superimposed action and arcs. (video, video content in pdf, activity factsheet in pdf). | Understand the strength applied by objects on other objects that have been added, thus applying more complex principles. | 2h | At home/classroom.
S2P | Extra activity T3.L1.1. Carry out a video essay on a principle of animation applied nowadays and classical animation. (activity factsheet in pdf) | Understand the use of classical animation principles in modern animation. | 4h | At home/classroom. |
Lesson 2. Use of the principlesClick to collapse
The following table shows all the materials preprared for the teacher to learn (T2L) and for the teacher to take them to the classroom (T2T,S2P) for Lesson 2 of Topic 3.
