Objectives
This course topic is dedicated to financial ratios.
Financial Ratios are tools that help in summarizing the financial statements and condition of a company or enterprise.
We will learn more about:
- Profitability
- Efficiency
- Liquidity and
- Leverage
The first two categories are often in the focus of an entrepreneur. The last two categories provide information about financial risks facing the firm in the short term (liquidity) and long term (financial leverage).
They also provide early warnings about whether the firm is approaching its capacity.
The main objectives of this topic are described in the following video:
