Objectives

Leadership is the set of managerial or directive skills that an individual has to influence the way of being or acting of people or in a specific workgroup, making this teamwork with enthusiasm towards the achievement of its goals and objectives

There are many competencies that are required from the entrepreneur, as it is generally the person who assumes the role of leader. We have already seen some of them throughout this course such as empathy, assertiveness, commitment, among others. Throughout this new chapter, we will see other complementary skills that must also be worked on to be a good team leader, as decision making or motivation.

The main objectives of this topic are described in the following video:

The following table shows all the materials preprared for the teacher to learn (T2L) and for the teacher to take them to the classroom (T2T,S2P) for Lesson 1 of Topic 7. Leadership. The description of the different types of materials  (T2L, T2T, S2P) can be found here. For each material, teachers can find in this table: its description, the student workload and where the student works. Additionally, recommendations about what to do in the classroom are included (remember that one lesson corresponds to one class of the teacher with her/his students).  Follow the links in the table to discover what O-City has prepared for you:

S2P Activity A.T7.L2.1. Journey in a balloon (activity factsheet in pdf) This activity is about decision making within a group. While facing an extreme fictitious situation, students will have to make a justified and unanimous decision, while also intending to save their life. Natural leaders might arise in this attempt to bring others to one side. in the classroom
